The essentials
First Over Germany
First Over Germany: A History of the 306th Bombardment Group is a highly regarded military history by Russell A. Strong, chronicling the combat operations and personnel of the 306th Bomb Group in World War II.
Posted with the permission of the Strong family. The scan is of the Revised 1990 Edition owned by Barbara Neal, for many years secretary of the 306th BGHA, whose notes in the margins add dates and other details gathered in the course of her duties. Hard-back copies are scarce; the Association does not sell this version. Downloads are for individual, non-commercial use, and a donation to the Association is requested.
